Open your Mouth and Teach! Articulate Instruction for Yoga Teachers  |  Saturday, February 24, 2018 9:30-12:30
Step off your mat and teach with confidence! Teach without practicing alongside your students and be in touch with what is happening in your classes. This workshop will give you tools to develop powerful, articulate verbal instruction skills so that you can be present to what is happening in your students’ bodies rather than relying on being in the pose yourself in order to teach. Learn to see the signs when certain instructions do or don’t work and get rid of tired, inherited phrases. Skills learned in this workshop will be applicable no matter what style of yoga you teach. Three Continuing Education Hours.

Sanskrit for Yoga Teachers  | Saturday, February 24 1:30-3:00

Sanskrit can be intimidating and tongue twisting to the beginning yoga teacher and even to students who have been practicing for years. Come learn the Sanskrit alphabet and improve your pronunciation in a fun, friendly and accessible way. Learn to appreciate and savor the feel of the Sanskrit language in your mouth, on your tongue and on your nervous system (kind of like a really good piece of chocolate!). Leave with more confidence to introduce Sanskrit names of poses to your students or use them in your own practice. No previous knowledge or experience required! The focus will be on pronunciation from transliteration of Sanskrit. We will not be learning to read or write Sanskrit Devanagari script. 1.5 Continuing Education Hours
