Yoga For Your Feet
Pre-Recorded and On-Demand

Foot care is essential to healthy aging...
Our feet are so incredibly important to everything we do. The health and well-being of our feet can have a far-reaching impact on our posture, our joints, our gait, our ability to move freely - walking, standing, running, hiking, dancing, balancing - even our ability to get up and down easily off the floor can be impacted by our feet.
“Take care of your feet every day, especially if your hair is grey!”
For over two decades, Joanna has been working with individuals ages 55 and up on practices of Virya, sanskrit for vitality. Foot care is one of the primary components of Yoga for the Aging Body. As we age, the habits of our footwear choices (narrow shoes or high heels), trauma or injury to the feet, bunions and arthritis, and just general stiffness or weakness of the feet, can add up and our feet can become like blocks of wood, rather than the light, dynamic feet that we had when we were younger.
But even if you are not over 40 or 50, you might be suffering from foot pain from overuse, from working on your feet, or simply from the genetic inheritance of bunions or fallen arches. Pregnancy can also dramatically change your feet and is often felt during the prenatal and postpartum periods.
Joanna Dunn co-teaches this program with Kerry Hinds - combined, they have 40 years of yoga teaching experience, and both have had their own experiences with foot pain and recovery.
